Schedule of certificates issued by the commissioners of the several districts from the Virginia Land Office, 1780-1782.

These records include columned lists containing the names of the claimants, the number of acres claimed under settlement rights, and the number claimed on preemption. Each list, which is directed to the register of the Land Office, is dated and signed by the commissioners of the respective districts. There are returns for the following districts: Augusta, Botetourt, and Greenbrier, March 14 and April 12, 1780, and ---- 12, 1782; Washington, September 8, 1781; Kentucky, February 28 and May 4, 1780; and Monongalia, February 26, 1780.
